The class of 2017 have sustained the trend of impressive post-16 student performances of recent years to produce another excellent set of results. 29% of grades achieved were the top grades of A* and A, and over half of all entries awarded were at grade B or higher. Three quarters of all grades achieved were A*-C and the overall pass rate remains at 99%.
The overwhelming majority of our students met or exceeded their target grades and value added measures will again place the school in the top 25% of all school nationally. Most importantly the vast majority of our students have been successful in gaining the results they require to follow their chosen pathways. As always, a high proportion are going on to take up places at the top universities in the country such as Durham, York, Leeds, Nottingham, Sheffield, Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester.
