Director of Improvement and Standards: Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary Education 

The Trust is seeking to appoint a Director of Improvement and Standards: Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary Education, who will take up the post as soon as possible.   

The Director of Improvement and Standards: Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary Education will:

  • conduct and hold up-to-date accurate assessments of the standards of each primary school through the principles of the Education and Inspection Framework. 
  • lead on the development and implementation of Trust wide education-based policies through collaboration with Headteachers, Unions and other key stakeholders. 
  • lead on the development of consistent assessment and reporting across the Trust. 
  • ensure that all schools are prepared and colleagues trained and understand the requirements of the current Ofsted framework. 
  • ensure educational performance and standards are evaluated at Trust level through a robust evaluation and reporting framework.   
  • report directly to the Trust Board on the performance and standards of EYFS and primary provision. 
  • lead on the Educational Due Diligence for primary schools converting into the Trust. 
  • lead on safeguarding across the Trust, working with Designated Safeguarding Leads in schools.

The Trust is seeking to appoint a Director of Improvement and Standards: Secondary and Post 16 Education, who will take up the post as soon as possible. The Director of Improvement and Standards: Secondary and Post 16 Education will:

  • conduct and hold up-to-date accurate assessments of the standards of each secondary school through the principles of the Education and Inspection Framework. 
  • lead on the development and implementation of Trust wide education-based policies through collaboration with Headteachers, Unions and other key stakeholders. 
  • lead on the development of consistent assessment and reporting across the Trust. 
  • ensure that all schools are prepared and colleagues trained and understand the requirements of the current Ofsted framework. 
  • ensure educational performance and standards are evaluated at Trust level through a robust evaluation and reporting framework.   
  • report directly to the Trust Board on the performance and standards of secondary and post 16 provision. 
  • lead on the Educational Due Diligence for secondary schools converting into the Trust. 
  • line manage the School Improvement Director (English) and lead on the Trust’s strategic focus on reading and the Trust in Reading@TCAT initiative.

Director of Governance 

The Trust is seeking to appoint a Director of Governance, who will take up the post as soon as possible. The Director of Governance will:

  • promote sound standards of governance and act as a guardian of integrity. 
  • review legislative and regulatory developments and advise the Trust Board and Committees accordingly. 
  • independently brief the Chair and Trustees on current issues and support liaison between the Chair, the CEO and Trustees. 
  • develop and implement an effective and successful Trust wide annual governance plan including a framework for assurance and levels of delegated authority. 
  • ensure that the Trust Board has an effective approach to risk identification and management to support the strategic leadership team to effectively deliver strategy. 
  • provide advice, counsel and support to the Chair, Vice Chair, Committee Chairs and Senior Team in their respective roles. 
  • ensure compliance with corporate governance and other financial and legal regulations. 
  • draft all statutory documentation on behalf of the Board. 
  • liaise competently and collaboratively with external counterparts, stakeholders and relevant statutory bodies. 
  • anticipate and respond effectively to stakeholder requirements. 
  • membership of project groups on structure or financing reorganisation, acquisitions and disposals.

Facilities Assistant (Caretaker) at Howden School

Place of work: Howden School

Hours: 37 Hours per week

Salary: Scale Point 5 (£19,312) plus 10% shift allowance (£1,931)

We are looking to appoint a new staff member to the Facilities Team based at Howden School. The successful candidate will be able to provide effective, efficient, caring and safety conscious customer service, developing and maintaining high standards of security and presentation throughout the academy, to ensure continuity of the use of the buildings and grounds for school and community use.

cleaners

Place of work: a variety of school sites

Hours: various shifts

Salary: scale point 1, £17,842 (pro-rata)

We currently have a number of positions with various shift patterns available for cleaning staff across the following sites: Cottingham, Penshurst, Howden, Holderness and Wolfreton.

The successful candidates will be effective, efficient and safety-conscious and be able to demonstrate an ability to work independently and as part of a team of cleaners.
