Pancake Day Celebrations

Pancake Day Celebrations

Today marks Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Day as it is more commonly known. This is a day for learners across the Trust to explore the religious significance of the day and indulge in sweet treats!

Our Trust wide caterers, ABM, provided pancakes in our canteens and outdoor food hubs for learners to tuck-in to at breaktime and lunches! Cottingham’s school welfare dog, Marlowe, was very excited about this!

The day also coincided with St David’s Day, so Cottingham encouraged learners on Twitter to combine the two holidays by sharing a recipe for delicious Welsh cakes!

At Croxby, the Mini Meerkats celebrated Shrove Tuesday by reading the wonderfully entertaining book Mr Wolf’s Pancakes by Jan Fearly, whilst indulging in one or two pancakes.
