Donations Across the Trust Made to the Ukrainian Crisis

As the crisis in Ukraine evolves, schools across the Trust have set up opportunities for staff, learners, and their families to help with the humanitarian effort.

Talented Hessle staff members gave up their own to make ribbon pins, which were on sale to staff and students. All funds raised will be donated to the Ukrainian Refugee Appeal. During tutor time, students looked at the different resources available from credible media sources, to explain the facts regarding Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

During tutor time, Cottingham Sixth Form students have discussed the recent crisis. Students have decided to #StandWithUkraine and support the refugees by donating money.

Members of the Ukraine Refugee Appeal from Holderness attended the Portobello Methodist Church to help the community's appeal. Holderness is supporting their efforts through students and staff donating their unwanted blankets.

Howden students in Year 7 and 9 have been helping Mrs Aarosin with a gorgeous large scale Ukrainian peace painting which is inspired by Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko who stated in 1982 "A dove has spread her wings and asks for peace". The painting is still in progress and is pictured above.

Team Croxby generously donated bags full of nappies, blankets and other amenities to be sent to Ukraine.
