TCAT Schools commemorate Remembrance 2021

TCAT Schools commemorate Remembrance 2021

Students and staff across The Consortium Academy Trust schools paid their respects to those who lost their lives during special services and activities to commemorate Remembrance Day.

For Remembrance Day, also known as Armistice Day, each school held a two-minute silence in order to remember those who gave their lives in conflicts in the past and the modern era.

Individually, schools played their respects both in the classroom and the community.

At Winifred Holtby Academy, the Key Stage 4 HUB students created acrostic poems and Poppy wreaths which helped to mark the day’s significance.

Howden School created some lovely poppy images during tutor time while reflecting on why the 11th of November is importance to us in 2021.

A number of students from Holderness Academy and Sixth Form College proudly took part in Hedon's commemoration at the parade on Remembrance Sunday.

Cottingham High's Sam and Abbie read the names of the fallen out at Sunday's service at St Mary's Church (Pictured above).
