TCAT Sporting Summary: W/E 5 December

As always it has been a great week for sport across the Trust- and the weather hasn’t stopped our tenaciously sporty learners!

On Friday Holderness Academy and Sixth Form College had an exciting announcement. Hull FC Academy and Holderness Academy: Rugby Talent Hub was unveiled. This continues a historical partnership between the two establishments. This will further Holderness’ track record of supporting their aspirational athletes to realise their potential.

At Hessle High School and Sixth Form, the fantastic Year 10 Netball team demonstrated incredible determination and resilience in their fixture against South Hunsley. Cottingham High’ mixed age team also played brilliantly against Longcroft School and Sixth Form.

Holderness Academy & Sixth Form College took part in the ER Sports Hall Athletics Championships. All their teams performed brilliantly. But their Year 7 girls stole the show, coming away with 3rd place.

Winifred Holtby Academy have announced that their swimming pool will be back up and running curriculum time. This comes after it has been closed since the start of the pandemic. We are certain there are many student excited to dive back in to swimming lessons and water polo games.

Lastly, Wolfreton School’s Girls Football time have recently qualified into the top 32 Under 13s Teams in the country- an incredible foot!

Once again, well done to our incredible learners for your achievements and thank you to the PE staff for your support week in and out!
