  • TCAT Art Round-up - November 2021

    Published 29/11/21
At The Consortium Academy trust, we value the arts as they encourage self-expression and creativity and can build confidence as well as a sense of individual identity. For our EYFS learners, art can also improve co-ordination and grip strength. Therefore, it is important to highlight the designs our learners create, and the hard work and dedication that has gone into them.

Welcome to the first of our monthly TCAT Art Exhibitions.

  • TCAT Commemorates Remembrance 2021

    Published 14/11/21
Students and staff across The Consortium Academy Trust schools paid their respects to those who lost their lives during special services and activities to commemorate Remembrance Day.

For Remembrance Day, also known as Armistice Day, each school held a two-minute silence in order to remember those who gave their lives in conflicts in the past and the modern era.

Individually, schools played their respects both in the classroom and the community.

At Winifred Holtby Academy, the Key Stage 4 HUB students created acrostic poems and Poppy wreaths which helped to mark the day’s significance.

Howden School created some lovely poppy images during tutor time while reflecting on why the 11th of November is importance to us in 2021.

A number of students from Holderness Academy and Sixth Form College proudly took part in Hedon's commemoration at the parade on Remembrance Sunday.
